Metso to showcase latest aggregates technology
Metso will exhibit its latest innovations and technologies for the aggregates industry at Bauma 2025, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the launch of its Lokotrack mobile crushers – a key focus at the event.
The company will also introduce the latest Nordberg HPe crushers, designed to improve performance in demanding conditions, as well as updates to its Lokotrack and Nordtrack mobile crushing and screening equipment. This includes the new EC range models and a “Build Your Own” tool that allows users to customise Lokotrack EC jaw or cone crushers.
Wirtgen to show 45 world premieres and innovations
Wirtgen Group says its focus will be on helping customers become more efficient and profitable through smarter and safer construction equipment, technological solutions and application processes. On the 13,000m² booth will be eight production systems for a variety of applications in the areas of road construction, earthmoving and materials processing, around 100 machines, 45 world premieres and innovations and, for the first time in its Bauma history, nine live shows. Komatsu to present new midi excavator
Komatsu, a global manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, will showcase a new prototype 7.5-tonne wheeled excavator at Bauma 2025. The machine will join the PW98MR and PW138MR wheeled excavator family. Read more.
Sandvik to return to Bauma
Sandvik will present its latest innovations in infrastructure, mining, tunneling, and quarrying. Visitors will have the chance to explore Sandvik’s products in ground support, surface drilling, stationary crushing and screening, rock tools, and parts and services. The new Pantera DP1510i top hammer drill rig will be displayed at Bauma 2025 for its full launch with updated key components, as well as the Ranger DX810i.
Trime promises ‘world first’ lighting tower
Lighting tower specialist will demonstrate a battery powered light with ‘swappable’ battery pack.
Perkins focuses on future engines
UK-based engine manufacturer Perkins plans to highlight its upcoming 2606 model in Germany. The 12.9-litre six-cylinder engine will replace the existing 15- and 18-litre models due to its superior power output. Perkins will also show its recently launched 904J engine, as well as release more details about its Project Coeus alternative fuels-based project.
Off-Highway Research to hold market briefing
Specialist market research and forecasting company, Off-Highway Research (OHR), will hold an in-depth briefing on the state of the global construction equipment market. The briefing will take place on the second day of the Bauma exhibition, Tuesday 8 April, at 10.00 am at conference room B41 close to hall B4 at the Messe München show ground.
Volvo CE goes all electric
Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has announced that it will only be displaying electric equipment on its stand – which it said will be the “first-ever zero-emission-only lineup” at Bauma Munich. It also said it will be unveiling a new electric machine that is designed for key industrial segments in the construction industry.
Bauma innovation award: finalists 2025
All finalists for the Bauma innovation awards 2025 have been announced in the five categories that the awards are held in. The five categories are: Climate protection; Digitalisation; Mechanical engineering; Building; Research. The awards take place the day before Bauma, which is held from 7-13 April 2025 in Munich, Germany.
Hyundai CE display includes hydrogen excavator
In total, the South Korean company will have up to 18 machines on display. Of those, ten will be either all-new or feature new updates. Included in that lineup is a pre-production version of the HW155H, a 15-tonne wheeled excavator which is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system. At Bauma 2022 this was a static model, but at this year’s event the machine will be working in the demonstration area.
